Community Involvement

Calvin M. Finn, CLU®, ChFC® , CASL®  , CLTC was named one of the 'Outstanding Volunteers' for the Northwestern Mutual Community Service Award in 2007.Calvin began working with Kans for Kids Fighting Cancer Foundation as a board member in part due to his personal experience with cancer - his wife, Debbie, is a breast cancer survivor. Reaching out and helping others is a way to give to those families in need, as he understands the financial and emotional impact that cancer can have on a family.Upon receiving the award, Calvin expressed his appreciation with the following comments:
"As a volunteer with Kans for Kids, I have been able to assist kids with cancer, and their families, receive financial assistance for medical costs, transportation / lodging / meals to & from treatments, provide supplemental income for parents who need to take off work to care for their children during treatment and scholarships upon graduation for each child who has received assistance. It is very rewarding for me to know that I am helping lessen the financial burden of this disease on these families and to be able to offer them comfort and strength. " He continues to support this organization.

Calvin is also a supporter of the American Cancer Society, specifically the Susan Komen Foundation, helping to raise awareness and funds to hopefully one day find a cure for this disease.

He is active in the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce and the Hoisington Main Street Program.
